Alhaji Lawal Audi ‘Yar’adua, the People’s Democratic Party PDP, caretaker committee spokesperson in Katsina state has dismissed allegations made against the party’s 2023 Gubernatorial candidate, Senator Yakubu Lado Danmarke.
Yar’Adua, who dismissed the allegations while responding to the issues raised by the group in Katsina on Monday, said the allegations made by the aggrieved faction of the party “is baseless and misleading”.
He described the aggrieved faction as a gang of anti party merchants that have lost their relevance with no electoral value.
It would be recalled that, the aggrieved faction had at a press conference over the weekend in Katsina frowned at the guber candidate’s failure to challenge the conduct and the outcome of the election in court.
The faction similarly made a veil mention of how some candidates turned their contest to business venture.
The PDP spokesman alleged that the candidate refused to go to court to challenge the election because “those that are expected to serve as his witness in court had already been caught in the web of anti-party activities”.
He said instead of making unnecessary unguarded statements, the faction “should join their master, the former governor of the state Alhaji Ibrahim Shehu Shema and perfect their defection plans to APC”.
He further alleged that none of the the members of the aggrieved faction won the last election in their respective constituency.
Yaradua also described the aggrieved parties as APC’s moles planted in the PDP to destabilize the party and scuttle its chances in the forthcoming local government elections in the state.
